Enjoy yourself at our mountain retreat in a beautiful Snowmass Village Colorado! Galliwest was rebuilt and doubled in size in 2010. Located just above the Elk Camp gondola mid-station, it has ski-in ski-out access. Summer guests use some of the country's best mountain biking and hiking trails! It now has 4 master bedrooms with king beds, ensuite baths, and HD flat screen TVs, plus 2 smaller bedrooms. and 5.5 baths.. It is on Woodrun I, the first and most prestigious of the on-the-mountain private housing areas in Snowmass. Snowmass is the largest and most popular family mountain in the 4-mountain Aspen complex.

An elevator in the stairwell rises from the heated 2-car garage and mudroom/ski storage area on the first floor to the 3 upper floors.The living-dining area on the 4th floor opens onto large front and back decks. A large fully equipped kitchen invites multi-cook meal preparation and communicates with a dining area that has a long table seating 12-14.

There is a large living space that is separated into a comfortable fireplace area (perfect for relaxing after long days exploring and skiing) and a TV room. High ceilings and top to bottom windows make it a spectacular living space.

On the 2nd and 3rd floors, there are 4 large front bedrooms, with king sized beds, flat screen televisions, en suite bathrooms, and sweeping valley views. Two of them open onto balconies or decks. Two have 2-person jacuzzis in the bath. Two have large walk-in showers. All of the furniture, fixtures, bedding, beds, appliances, flooring, etc. is new. Two smaller back bedrooms, one with two twin beds, one with a queen and a twin, are most often occupied by children or young adults and have beautiful serene views into the forest behind the home.

There is a large office area on the 3rd floor, with two long desks, wifi, a computer and printer/scanner/fax.

There is a fully equipped laundry area on the 2nd floor, with a laundry chute down from the 3rd flr.

A hot tub offers great views and relaxation!

The unit is ideally suited for extended multi-generation families, like our own, or for 2-3 families that enjoy vacationing together, or four-five couples.

    The location was great and an easy short walk to the slopes near the Elk Camp Gondola. The home is older but has charm and is clean. The elevator is very helpful to get groceries from the bottom floor up to the top floor where the kitchen is located. The wood burning fireplace was great and the host leaves plenty of firewood for your stay. The hot tub was nice for relaxing after the long ski days. This place is great for a large group getaway.

    Excellent well equipped rental house really close to Funnel ski trail, requiring minimal walking.with snow on road, there is even less walking required. Caretakers are next door and extremely responsive and helpful. Four bedrooms with en suite bathrooms are great. The other two bedroom bedrooms share a bathroom in the hall. Well working elevator is a nice touch as is the wood burning fireplace. TV’s are relatively new and relatively easy to use. RECOMMEND This property highly

    This house is perfect for the entire family! We had all age ranges - from a ninety year old to a 6 month old. Because of the elevator, it was easy for the great grandmother & the new mom/baby to easily move from floor to floor.
    The house is super equipped - anything we needed, they had.

    The house was great. The top floor was the living area with everything you need. Comfortable and the views were great. The entire house was very clean and the elevator really helped.     We had our wedding at the maroon bells. Our whole wedding party stayed with us at the Gallwest home. It was spacious, super clean and stocked with all of the essentials needed in the kitchen ( including spices, condiments, a ton of towels, blankets, everything you need to fill at home). We had our wedding dinner catered in by Sarah Mandell(private chef). It was amazing as we utilized the balconies for appetizers. We saw deer, foxes and lots of different kinds of birds. I really wanted to see a bear. Our last day while checking out Chuck took a video of a mama bear and baby bear just so I could see it. Chuck is all about personal touches that make staying there even more magical then the views. Our kids loved the hot tub which was very clean and well maintained. The house has a elevator for our parents which was a life saver and allowed our parents to join in everything without getting tired from climbing stairs. This house has it all. We VRBO lots of places and this by far was the best place we have stayed so far. It allowed us to celebrate our wedding in a magical fairytale where all family members and friends were together under the same roof. Best memories and experience of our lifetime. Thank you Chuck for making us feel at home and being one of the be hosts and for your hospitality. It shows throughout the house how important it is for you to make sure the people that stay have the best possible experience they can have.

    Overall, we were very satisfied with the home, furnishings, community space, and kitchen supplies. We were a group of 6 and there was ample social space, dining space, and an 85" HDTV to enjoy NFL playoff games.     We reserved Galliwest House for our wedding weekend in September 2021 (20 total guests). We had our siblings stay with us and also used the house as the venue for our rehearsal dinner. We couldn't be happier with our decision. Chuck and Tina were incredibly responsive and helpful leading up to and throughout the weekend. The house was clean, spacious, and well stocked with kitchen utensils and seasonings for cooking, etc. It was in a great location for our guests to stop by during the weekend to say hello.     This is a very nice home that is very well kept. However it is not a ski in/ski out house. You have to carry your skis and hike to get in and out. Once you hike down the drive, down the road, there is a very small path over a narrow bridge to ski over. This was not convenient for our young kids in the slightest. It is also not walkable to the mall or the village in the winter.

    Galliwest House was the perfect house for our multi-generational family of 10. Ideally located, it is an easy ski-in & ski-out access to the slopes. The caretakers were professional, friendly and helpful. Aside from the beautiful views, the spacious living room was a warm & comfortable place for our family to enjoy quality time together. We enjoyed cooking together in the extremely well-equipped & very organized kitchen. Each bedroom had comfortable beds, fresh linens and plenty of towels. The hot tub was a hit, as the young adults enjoyed it every night after skiing. We all loved the seclusion of the home, but with the convenience of the shuttles, & taxi’s to easily get to the village, slopes and nights in Aspen. If you are looking for a private & rustic mountain retreat with beautiful views for your or multi-generational family, this is a perfect house.

    We rented the Galliwest House for a week in March. It was 4 families which included teenage children. The house was immaculate. It had everything we needed for the stay. It is in walking distance to the slope and base camp (we walked to base camp usually at night because during the day the slope is too busy to cross). There are shuttle and taxi services if you do not have a car. Tina and Chuck were onsite to answer any questions. We even had a friendly fox that visited us! It was an amazing property!

    Unique house with spectacular views ! Special bonus is having caretakers Chuck & Tina on-site and available for Q&A, special requests etc. The elevator a big asset for those perhaps concerned about ascending 3 flights of stairs. Hot tub access excellent and basket of flip flops a nice touch. Ski-out & in access much better than most requiring less than 100 yd level walk. More than ample parking. Perfect for a large group like ours.

    We were a group of four couples celebrating a 50th birthday and were simply amazed at every little detail this house provides. From sweeping views, to four king bedrooms (hard to find), to the glassware (not just flutes, but margarita glasses -- who does that?) and the welcoming note, Galliwest has it all. In fact, we're planning on a return in the summer (this was early Dec.), along with the kids, so we can enjoy all the hiking and biking that surrounds the house.     Our family of 10 wanted for nothing in this fully stocked, beautifully maintained house. Fully open top floor family room/dining/kitchen/large deck was the perfect daily gathering place, yet we all had lovely large private rooms we could find peace & quiet in when we wanted. All furniture was comfortable, there's plenty of parking room, and the elevator was so helpful when carrying lots of things in and out. Lastly, Chuck and Tina are wonderful caretakers, quiet as a mouse, yet there when we needed them or had questions about the area. I can't recommend this property enough. Loved it!

    We were very happy with the house, location, amenities. The only concern was the parking for the large parties, but that turned out not to be a problem due to road space available and shuttle/taxi service. It had everything you could want in kitchen equipment. The only concern was the lack of sturdy bars in showers and bath for my handicapped husband. Some of the bathtub sides were too high for him to get in.

    My wife and I were in need of a place to host 13 people for our small wedding. After searching for a few days we stumbled upon Galliwest and contacted Darci who was extremely helpful in assisting us in booking details. We stayed for 3 nights and had a fantastic time!     My family and I stayed at the Galliwest Home a few weeks ago for our first summer vacation together in the mountains. It was lovely!!! The views from the balconies of the home were amazing and made for the perfect place to relax and unwind each evening. The setting was perfect -- on a very quiet and private street surrounded by trees. In fact, you could access many great hiking trails not far from the front door step. Though it felt remote, the house was actually conveniently located not far from Snowmass Village and also about a 8-10 minute drive from downtown Aspen. There were three couples in our group and one additional adult and everyone was able to spread out and relax in their own private, nicely appointed bedroom with their own private bathroom, yet we all were able to enjoy each other's company in the main living space on the top floor as well where we cooked, played games and even made a fire nearly every night in the wood burning fireplace! Although we were active and outdoors most of our trip, we equally enjoyed the time we spent at this one-of-a-kind home that you can tell has been lovingly preserved by the owners and wonderful caretakers for many years. We feel so fortunate to have made our own memories here and look forward to staying at Galliwest House again sometime!

    Excellent vacation; great property.
    Only problem is the short walk to "ski in/ski out" which at the end of the day is a bit stressful. Otherwise, no complaints !!!
